State of Tennessee Bluegrass Jams

Pickin' at the Church of the Redeemer (Episcopal) at 3100 Houston Levee Road
(Just north of the Landers Ford dealership at Poplar Avenue and Houston Levee Road)
Friday Nights - 6:30 p.m.
This is their seventh year of jamming! There is no charge and the public is welcome. Players of all levels on acoustic instruments are welcome. Winter sessions continue until April and then the music moved to the Town Square!

JAM LOCATION: Maryville, TN
Music Row of Maryville, TN - Highway 321, Maryville, TN
Monday, Friday and Saturday of each week.

We are open to amateur musicians of all ages and talent levels who wish to gather and play with other musicians and to share their music with folks who like to listen and enjoy their company.

Open mic sets are 30 minutes in duration with accoustic instruments preferred. Open mic hours are from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Our facility features a main auditorium with a stage, sound system, stage lighting and seating for over 200 people. There are 9 rehearsal/picking room available. We also have a cafe serving food for the patrons to enjoy while they play or listen or bask in the family atmosphere. Our location on Highway 321 in Maryville also has plenty of lighted parking.

The cost of admission is a donation at the door unless otherwise noted. Music Row of Maryville is supported soley by donations. Your generosity is appreciated.

Every Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.
A great feature is that they often have slow jams where the music is slowed down just a bit to give new pickers an opportunity to learn some new songs. There are workshops now and then as well as special get-togethers.

Monthly Jam - Next is June 23, 2007 at 7 p.m.
A meeting place for musicians interested in playing folk, mountain, celtic, blues or even the Grateful Dead's acoustic numbers. It's all about a non-commercial place to jam, and a group of music minded people to meet at festivals, events and concerts.
